(Eph 1:1,15) God’s people are his holy people i.e. OT designation for the people of God.

(Eph 1:4) Election – he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.

(Eph 1:5-6) Election – In love he predestined us for adoption according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace.

(Eph 1:7) Salvation – OT redemption through blood.

(Eph 1:11,14) Salvation – OT language of inheritance.

(Eph 1:11) Election & Sovereignty – predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will.

(Eph 1:17-22)God enlightens trough his Spirit opening eyes of hearts to God’s hope, riches and power.

(Eph 1:20) Eschatology – Christ seated at right hand, all things under his feet.

(Eph 2:4-5) Saved not ultimately by my choice but because God, being rich in mercy and with great love made us alive together with Christ

(Eph 2:8-9) Saved through faith but this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God so that no one may boast.

(Eph 2:10) Sovereignty – We are his workmanship, created in Christ for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

(Eph 2:11-12) In OT Gentiles alienated from Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

(Eph 2:13-15) In Christ, Jew and Gentile are made into one new man i.e. one regenerated people of God.

(Eph 2:14-15) The Law of Moses no longer divides Jews and Gentiles.

(Eph 2:19-22) Gentiles are now fellow citizens with the saints (Israel) and members of the household of God (Israel), a temple for God.

(Eph 3:5-6) Mystery of Gentiles as fellow heirs, members of same body, partakers in promises not made known in expression in OT.

(Eph 4:30) Eschatology – sealed by the Holy Spirit of God for the day of redemption.

(Eph 5:2) OT language – Christ became a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

(Eph 5:18-19) Be filled with the Spirit addressing one another in OT psalms

(Eph 5:26-27) Husbands described as priests making holy, cleansing and washing wife to present her holy and unblemished.

(Eph 5:31) A man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.

(Eph 6:1-3) OT law is still valid, children obey your parents, as are the covenant promise of long life in land (eternal life in new earth).

(Eph 6:13-17) The armor of God is God’s armor c.f. Isa 59:17 He put on righteousness as a breastplate & a helmet of salvation on his head.
