(Lev_1:1-17) Burnt offerings of bulls, sheep, goats or doves. The whole animal burned on altar as a pleasing aroma resulting in God’s favor.

(Lev_2:1-16) Grain offerings of unleavened flour with oil, frankincense & salt of covenant. A portion burned as pleasing aroma to the LORD.

(Lev_3:1-17) Peace or fellowship offering of which a portion is eaten by those offering the sacrifice.

(Lev_4:1-35) Sin offerings have blood sprinkled in front of inner curtain and put on horns of altar of incense. Blood used for cleansing.

(Lev_4:1-35) For high priest or nation a bull & blood inside tent. Leader a male goat. Individual a female goat or lamb. Blood outside tent.

(Lev_5:7; Lev_5:11) When an individ. cannot afford a female goat or sheep for a sin offering then two doves or even a non-blood offering of flour.

(Lev_5:14-19) Guilt offerings are expensive, a ram. For unintentional sins for not observing God’s holy things e.g tithes or incorrect oaths

(Lev_6:8-13) The fire on the altar of burnt offerings must be kept burning continually; it shall not go out, including during the night.

(Lev_6:16) Grain offerings, but not their own, may be eaten by priests in a holy place, the court of the tent of meeting.

(Lev_6:24-30) Sin offerings may be eaten by priests in the holy court of the tent of meeting. But not those whose blood enters the tent.

(Lev_7:1-7) Guilt offerings may be eaten by male priests in the holy court of the tent of meeting.

(Lev_7:20-21) People may eat of their fellowship offerings. But if a man eats when he is unclean then he will be cut off from his people.

(Lev_7:22-27) Israel are forbidden to eat fat or blood. These are to be used for making atonement.

(Lev_7:28-37) People eat fellowship offerings but the breast and right thigh belongs to the priest who offers the sacrifice on their behalf.

(Lev_7:37-38) This is law of the burnt, grain, sin, guilt & peace offerings on day LORD commanded Israel on Mt Sinai to bring offerings.

(Lev_8:1-36) Ordination – washing with water, putting on new priestly clothing, anointing with oil, sacrifice, blood applied & sprinkled.

(Lev_8:1-16) Washed by word & baptism. Have put on Christ. Anointed with Spirit, sprinkled with blood of Jesus’ sacrifice.

(Lev_9:6) Sacrifice is necessary so that the glory of the LORD may appear to Israel.

(Lev_9:7-22) The sacrifices commanded at Sinai are offered for the first time ever. First for the high priest and then for the nation.

(Lev_9:23-24) Glory of LORD appeared to all the people. Fire came out from before LORD & consumed sacrifices. Israel forgiven! Shout & fall.

(Lev_10:1-2) Nadab & Abihu offer unauthorized incense & fire before the LORD. Fire comes out from God’s presence and consumes them. c.f 9:24

(Lev_10:10-11) Priests to distinguish between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean, and you are to teach Israel.

(Lev_11:1; Lev_11:45) Clean and unclean animals. Motivation for these instructions is to be holy because the LORD their God is holy.

(Lev_11:35-37) A dead carcass means that mud brick oven must be broken. Mercifully a spring or cistern remains clean. As does planting seed.

(Lev_12:1-8) Cleansing from blood flow for women after child birth. 7 and 14 days, 40 and 80 days depending on boy or girl.

(Lev_13:45-46) Person with skin disease,like a mourner, wear torn clothes,hair hang loose,cover upper lip,cry out unclean,live outside camp.

(Lev 14) Cleansing of leper. Wash clothes, shave hair, bathe in water, blood & oil applied to ear, thumb, toe. Blood sprinkled. Oil on head.

(Lev 14) The ritual for cleansing a leper is very similar to the anointing of a high priest – wonder what the connection is.

(Lev 15) Bodily discharges render people unclean and unable to go near tabernacle. Keeps temple worship & sex apart unlike Canaanites.

(Lev_16:14-15) The blood of the goat for sin offering is sprinkled in the tent to cleanse the tent on the Day of Atonement.

(Lev_16:21-22) Hands pressed on head of goat for Azazel and Israel’s sin confessed. Goat then sent away into wilderness to take sins away.

(Lev_17:11) The blood or life of a creature has been given to Israel on the altar to make atonement for your souls.

(Lev_17:15) Sometimes people were able to be made clean without sacrifice by washing clothes, bathing in water and waiting until evening.

(Lev_18:1-20) Israel not to uncover the nakedness of certain people. e.g. not lie sexually with neighbor’s wife & become unclean with her.

(Lev_18:25; Lev_18:28) Land of Canaan became unclean by these practices & vomited its inhabitants which will happen to Israel if does the same.

(Lev_19:2-4) Be holy for the LORD is holy. Obey your parents. Keep God’s Sabbaths. Do not make cast idols.

(Lev_19:9-10) Leave the gleanings of your harvest and fallen grapes of vineyard for the poor.

(Lev_19:19) You shall not wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material.

(Lev_19:37) And you shall observe all my statutes and all my rules, and do them: I am the LORD.

(Lev_20:26) You shall be holy to me, for I the LORD am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.

(Lev_21:16-23) No priest who is blind, lame or has a blemish may offer the bread, approach the altar or go through the veil.

(Lev_22:8-24) Animals offered in sacrifice, like the priests themselves, must not be blind, lame or blemished.

(Lev_23:4) These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, the holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at the time appointed for them.

(Lev_23:5 f) Sabbaths, Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles.

(Lev_24:1-9) Arrangements for olive oil for the lampstand and for the bread placed on the table in the Holy Place.

(Lev_25:1 f) Sabbatical and Jubilee years & how relates to release of servants & land. Also ideas of redemption & redeemers. Exodus theology.

(Lev_26:1-13) If obey then rains, crops, fruit, peace, victory over enemies, multiply, covenant confirmed, God will dwell with.

(Lev_26:14-17) If not obey then panic, wasting disease, fever, heart ache, no food, enemies conquer.

(Lev_26:18-26) If still not obey then no rain, no crops, no fruit, wild beasts, no children or livestock, God not walk with, plague, enemies

(Lev_26:27-39) If still not obey then eat flesh of children, destroy high places, cities wasted, dead bodies, God hate, exile.

(Lev_26:34-35; Lev_26:43) Breaking Sabbath, the sign of the Mosaic covenant, is the cause of exile.

(Lev_26:40-42) But if they confess their iniquity, if uncircumcised hearts humbled then I will remember my covenant & the land.

(Lev_26:44-45) Despite their sin & judgment God will not hate them so as to destroy them utterly but remember his covenant.

(Lev_27:1 f) Instructions for how things dedicated to the LORD can be redeemed back for use by the people.

(Lev_27:28-29) Things or people devoted to destruction cannot be redeemed or ransomed but must be destroyed or put to death.

(Eph 1:3) Blessed be the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places

(Eph 1:4) He chose us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and blameless before him.

(Eph 1:5) In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to his will, for the praise of his glory.

(Eph 1:7-8) In him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace lavished upon us, in all wisdom.

(Eph 1:11) In him we have an inheritance. Predestined by him who works all things according to counsel of his will for praise of his glory.

(Eph 1:13-14) In him sealed with promised Holy Spirit, guarantee of our inheritance until acquire possession of it, to praise of his glory.

(Eph 1:17-20) May God give spirit of wisdom & open eyes of heart to know our hope, our inheritance & power at work in us that raised Christ.

(Eph 2:1-3) You were dead in your transgressions and sins, living in the passions of the flesh, by nature were children of wrath.

(Eph 2:4-7) But God, rich in mercy & in great love made us alive with Christ, raised us up with him & seated us with him in heavenly places.

(Eph 2:8-9) For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this faith is not your own doing, it is the gift of God.

(Eph 2:10) We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

(Eph 2:11-12) We were separated from Christ, alienated from Israel, strangers to covenants of promise, no hope and without God in the world.

(Eph 2:13) But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

(Eph 2:19-22) No longer strangers & aliens, fellow citizens, members of household of God, growing into a holy temple in the Lord.

(Eph 3:6) The mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise through the gospel.

(Eph 3:10) Through the church the manifold wisdom of God is now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

(Eph 3:18) may have strength to comprehend what is the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of Christ.

(Eph 3:20-21) He is able to do far more than all we ask or think, according to power at work within us, to him be glory in church forever.

(Eph 4:1-3) Walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called. With humility, gentleness & love.

(Eph 4:4-6) There is one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father who is over, through & in all.

(Eph 4:7-10) Jesus who had descended from heaven to earth also ascended back to heaven and gave gifts of the Spirit by measured grace.

(Eph 4:11-14) Pastors and teaches are to equip the saints for the work of ministry & building up Church until we mature in Christ-likeness.

(Eph 4:17-19) Do not walk as Gentiles do, with futile minds, darkened understanding, alienated from life, hard in heart, given to sensuality

(Eph 4:22-23) Put off your old self which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires and be renewed.

(Eph 4:24) Put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

(Eph 4:32) Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

(Eph 5:2) Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

(Eph 5:8-11) Walk as children of light. Fruit of light is what is good and right and true. Take no part in unfruitful works of darkness.

(Eph 5:15-16) Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

(Eph 5:18-20) Be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another in psalms, hymns & spiritual songs. Singing and giving thanks always.

(Eph 5:25-32) Husbands to love, sanctify, wash & cleanse through the word, beautify, nourish and cherish their wives. Hold fast, one flesh.

(Eph 6:4) Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

(Eph 6:10-11) Be strong in the Lord. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

(Eph 6:14-18) Belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of gospel, shield of faith, helmet of salvation & sword of Spirit.

(Eph 6:24) Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible.
